Auction Sniper gives each new user 3 free snipe credits. Each free snipe credit is good for one winning snipe. After these are used up, we charge a modest fee of 1.95% of the final auction price, with a minimum of 35¢ and a maximum of $35 for each auction that we help you win.

Linking your eBay account to your Auction Sniper account creates a secure connection which allows our system to place bids on your behalf. Best of all, Auction Sniper no longer requires your eBay username or password. Auction Sniper places snipes through this secure connection so you can snipe auctions without ever sharing your eBay username or password.

Although the probability of this happening is very small, we have developed our software to give bidders an equal chance of winning in all possible cases.

In most cases, it’s very simple: the bidder with the highest max bid will win.

A bid group is designed to help you get the item you want at the price you want. You choose multiple items on eBay and put them in a Bid Group folder with a set maximum price. Auction Sniper will run through the items in the group until it gets you the item you want at the price you want. It will then stop bidding on the remaining items in the folder. Lead time is the number of seconds before an auction’s end time when you would like Auction Sniper to place your bid on your behalf.

Due to Internet lag, eBay server response times and server time discrepancies, we can't guarantee your bid will be placed at the exact second you choose, however, our margin for error is rarely greater than 1 second. Even with 2 second lead times, we can still boast a 99.9% accuracy rate.

We place your snipes from multiple servers in multiple locations to avoid regional Internet congestion to increase your chances of winning.

In the unfortunate event that your snipe resolves with a "Did Not Win" or "Not In Time" message, you can report the error for a free snipe credit.

You cannot add, modify, or cancel a snipe if there is less than 5 minutes left until the auction ends. When the auction is about to end, you may notice that a lock will replace the Cancel and Modify links. In the event that you have not refreshed the page, and the Cancel and Modify links still exist for a snipe that is ending in less than 5 minutes, any changes made will not adhere. For reliability and performance, our bidding system prepares your snipes in advance, so you must make your changes before this time.

Yes, we snipe in the currency of the auction. That's actually how eBay has it set up; no conversion is going on. So if the auction is in GBP, AU$, Euros, etc., that's the currency your bid is in.

If you add a snipe to our system, we will attempt to place your bid on eBay. Given the short time periods we work with, we do not check who is the current high bidder on eBay before attempting to place a snipe on your behalf. However, in most cases, your snipe will not "bid up" a manual bid you placed on eBay.

Due to the rules of eBay's proxy bidding system, it is possible to increase the winning amount paid for an auction if your maximum snipe amount is greater than your maximum proxy bid on eBay. However, the circumstances that result in that behavior are uncommon and will never increase the final price by more than one eBay bid increment.

To avoid this scenario, only place bids through Auction Sniper. If you do place a bid on eBay and Auction Sniper for the same item, be aware there is a chance eBay may take advantage and increase your winning bid amount.
